...with the highest resolution possible. Something between 1.5 and 2.5 inches with 640x640 resolution with composite or S-Video PAL/NTSC input would be ideal.
Obviously it's not for my CarPC setup.
It's for a home made video projector I am trying to build.
By the way... is it easy to remove the backlight from the LCD module of those cheap 5.6 automotive screens?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)
Also, from what I hear, the lcd screens in camcorders are simply small composite video screens (again, so i hear, i could be wrong). so you might try to track down a broken camcorder.
