good find!
was looking at this site http://www.vartechsystems.com/produc...lvue/vbond.asp and they have a alternative to Transflective called vbond, was speaking to a rep and they did not seem to know about the carputer market, was explaining the potential he said he will talk to management about it, if you guys add your voice to this we might have a company that is willing to develop a kit for available screens.
good find!

If anyone tests this out post a review...otherwise we could see if they can send a sample? I'd like to know if this effects touch performance or if it actually has to be "bonded" to the screen/touchscreen.
It won't effect TS performance, the touch layer is still the uppermost. This technique just reduces reflections by eliminating the optical transitions between the different layers. This also means you will never have dust problems between the layers, because it seals them together. Sounds interesting, it's a good find indeed.
this is a common optical enhancement on many LCD's. the problem with the ones many of us use (liliput/Xenarc) is the resistive.touch screen layer. This layer is actually made up of two layers with spacers. When you touch the screen it presses the two together. There is an inherant reflection problem with resistive sensors that won't go away. The touch is already bonded to the top glass layer of the LCD, so VBOND will, at best, help only slightly the issues with touch screens.
I think a Capacitive Touch Screen has supperior optical performance over resistive. It is a solid piece of glass, so VBOND is appicable to bond the glass to the top layer of the LCD (polarizer). Unfortunately Capacitive touch screens are more expensive, but perhaps we will see them soon...
