    Display brightness and fit

Hi, I have been reading several forums here, on lexusownersclub, and on cardomain, but I still have a couple of questions. First, a lot of the screens I'm seeing are rated by their Display brightness in cd/ m². Is 280cd/ m² good enough for daylight viewing and will it blind me at night? I found a nice looking screen on ebay that looks as if it may fit perfectly into my dash and am interested in it, but I don't want to buy it if it's brightness is no good.

That number is the same thing as a NIT rating.

I wouldnt use anything less then 300 NIT. THe higher the better to be seen during the day.

Thanks! I'm assuming that this is related to its lumens output. What are these units? NIT and cd/m^2
