    VM7000 / Lilliput 629GL-70NP Brightness Problem

    Hey Guys,

I have a VM7000 which supposably is a Lilliput 629GL-70NP in a different case... anyway when I made the dash bezel for it I had to remove part of the case and of course had to take all the guts out and when it all went back together I thought it had gotten a lot dimmer but I could tell from the side that the backlight was still running, so I kept going but now that its in the care, its completely unreadable (like you can hardly tell its running)... is it possible that I managed to turn the backlight way down in the process of taking it apart?

The screen supposably produces 280 cd/m2 through the touchscreen... ive gone into the settings and monkeyed around with the brightness and contrast but they just change the way different colors are displayed, they dont change the actual brightness of the screen.

Does anyone know of anything I can try?

For lilliput one you have to push the right arrow on the screen and you will go through 3 different brightnesses sequence.

Yeah, it has the options, but they only change the level curve on the color outputs, it doesn't change the brightness of the backlight at all.
