Autonode being gay? k301 defective?

well, i was installing my carpc this whole week and the monitor crapped out on me. at first i thought it was just because of my long *** ground cable but, after some thought and my bro saying that something is reallly wrong.. i came to realize that this monitor is defective.

first off, i watched the preview video on mp3car's demo of this monitor and my monitor doesn't open up like that. it opened in increments ( like | / _ ) and i just thought, "oh, i just have to warm up the car.." didn't work.

it kept doing that 'til it didn't even open up anymore. the led on the buttons showed up green and it would beep when i pressed the buttons. so, i sent autonode an email about 3 days ago and one today saying that this piece of junk is defective.. but no word yet.

what can i do?

Did u try calling them? I called them yesterday about my shipment and they where very cooperative did not even have to wait listening to crappy music for a rep to get my call.

I got mine today and installed it and it operates fine just have not hooked up vga to pc yet need a HD15 gender changer.

good luck, their all out of units. They're on backorder till next week. Take a look at their website, you cant purchase ****.

crap! i hope they could just fix this and send it back to me.

the only thing i need is this damn monitor.
hmm.. maybe i should sell it and try to get a cheaper one...

i got one too... it's great! the first one they sent was defective though.. DOA!

Im on my second monitor from them too and now its bad. touch screen needs recal after 10 mins and the screen is ghosting badd. and after the fast one they pulled on my today I NEVER RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING from them to anyone. I sent an RMA request in last week and they were going to send me a label to send it in. I get a call from them a couple days later and nathan the support guy asks me if i still want to fix it or if i want a refund. I say i want a refund cuz this is the second one Ive had problems with. I give the guy my credit card info and he emailed me somestuff to fax along with a copy of my credit card. So i do it and then i check my bank account and they charged me for another one. So i call back and tell them and hes like lemme find out whats going on ill call you back tonight. Well no phone call.. so today I call and after dicking around for 6 hours he finally says well there was an issue with your card something about fraud. He says I was charged because the first monitor I RMA'd had a serial number that wasnt in thier system and the warranty seal was broken. Neither of which are true. I sent it back how I got it in the box. So now im going through hell with the bank and the BBB trying to get my money back for the monitor I never authorized. IF you do decide to buy from them good luck thats all I have to say.

wow.. that's weird.

i've been talking to nathan from support and he told me that the manufacturing guys at china are working on getting the monitor shipped to me. the weird thing is, i sent mine to illinois. hmm.. how did the chinese people get my stuff so fast and why is it taking 2 to 3 weeks for them to ship another one to me?

also, he told me that i'll be getting status emails and calls to see how the monitor is doing.. i've never recieved anything and i've been calling and emailing him on why there's no reply. i've been calling and emailing him a couple times to see what's up.

Today I called nathan again.. I tried to get a refund on this unit but he told me that since it's under warranty and under repair, he can't issue a refund as of yet. Only til' it's done can he do that. He answered all my questions and he told me that he would promptly call the manufacturers in china about the status of my monitor. He also said that this monitor is one of the best ones out right now and they are even on back order so, that's why it's just taking so long.

For now, I guess I'll just keep tabs on what's gonna happen to my monitor.. but it's just a big headache.
