How to reduce the display size ...

I'm sure there has to be a slick trick, since I remember seeing a solution to this a while ago. Any help will be appreciated .... here goes ...

I have a raw 12 inch ELO touch scren that I will be fabbing into a console in my truck. It's working well at 800x600, BUT the image goes all the way to the screen edge. The problem is that the TS is not active for a small edge around the screen. A MAJOR hassle, since every Windows app has the CLOSE button on the top right ... right where I can't get TS.

Is there a tool or something that will let me "squash" the screen a bit?
(Put "black bars" around the edges perhaps?)

The display has some adjustments, but not anything to let me "shrink" the display.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Try using PowerStrip to do it. That'll get the job done.

Normally displays let you set the horizontal and vertical size along with the position. Are you sure yours doesn't?

Thanks for the info so far ... I;ll look into Powerstrip tonight.

As for adjusting the monitor, I tried but thereis no setting to reduce height and width. It works TOO well, the autosync sets it at a crisp viewing range side to side ... I could not adjust ot to compress.

    Cheers!
