Motorized indash touchscreen doesn't know when to stop

I recently got the DigitalWW 7" motorized indash touchscreen and it works great, except for one small issue. It seems every time it opens or closes, the motors run for just a second too long, long enough to make the gears click against each other once or twice. Is this normal? Is there an adjustment I can make to control how long the motor runs? I checked the "Modding your motorized touchscreen" thread and searched, but found nothing. Thanks.

The model is DWW-700M if that helps. I am not afraid of taking this thing apart to fix it, but some initial guidance wouldn't hurt.

SEARCH MORE THEN ONE THREAD MF-ER..... but heres a good post by me:

DWW-700M - New Gears but still a couple issues

Checkout the illustrations in the second to last post. The gear that is crunching is the "cylindrical" gear, i have replaced this gear on mine, so thats why i cracked the case open to begin with. don't be afraid of opening it up, aslong as you're not a complete horses-*** you shouldn't have any problems.

If i were you, i would open it up, and re-adjust the "Rotary resistor gear" as mentioned in that thread.

Well, I have opened it up and changed the position of the "rotary resister" gear. I have tried it in nearly every position possible, and I still get a couple of clicks. Now they only occur when the screen is retracting, once it's completely horizontal it will click a couple of times and then pull the screen in. I've decided to just deal with it, and when it wears out/breaks I'll just send it in and have it fixed.

How are the teeth on the cylindrical gear? Thats the one that loses them first. If someof those are weak, it may click due to wear.

If you need a replacement, Armen will send you a set for 10 bucks shipped.

Hey legacy05gt what mailing address did you use to get ahold of Armen, I don’t know how many times I have mailed him with no reply?

Did you just get the gear set or the pot and gears?

Does your unit remember ALL of its positions? Mine seems to remember all but the top 2 (the ones I use) have never been consistent and randomly work properly.

did you look for the correct resistance of that pot at the folded out position?

I'm having the same problems with the Motor running 1 sec too long causing the clicks.... anyone has any solution to this? I've tried the rotor Resistor too, and like RevDoc... it doesnt help. I've tried every possible angle...
