Question Replacement ribbon cable for Lilliput 7"?

Any idea where I can find a replacement ribbon cable for the Lilliput 7" touchscreen? This ribbon cable connects video from the board to the screen. Picture:

Also mp3car store and mouser. You want a FFC with same side connectors for the 619 (I believe, never owned one), and opposite side connectors for 629. The mp3car store says it sells one for xenarc, but it simply means it's an opposite side FFC (so it'll work for lilli 629).

    ...it never ends

I bought a 300mm brand new cable through Armen at DigitalWW.com and his shipping and packaging was grease lightning! A+++++! Buy from him, you wont regret!

Whoa, really? The 629s aren't all the same? Thats scary. I doublechecked mine, and it's definitely opposite side.

Maybe thats the problem with my setup... The unknown pcb controller I have is probably a 629 controler and the other one is a 619. The 619 just probably doesn't work. hrm, I guess it wont hurt to try.

i bought the transreflective and it says 629gl on the box. what happened was i messed with the cable so much that i forgot what kind it was. but it looks like same side judging from the remains of my cable. notice the blue lettering is on the same side in the picture.

now i bought the opposite side ribbon from the mp3.com store based on advice here. when i use it i can only manage a purple image when i slightly lift up the ribbon on the controller end. when i look closely in the socket, i can see pins both up and down like it wouldn't matter which way the ribbon is inserted.

UPDATE: BINGOOOOO!!! i used the opposite faced cable from the mp3.com store and modded it to a same side faced cable. method:
    1. i used a BLUNT box cutter blade to peel off the black plastic strip. i peeled it off one small piece at a time. i did this on a flat surface. the conductors on the other side should be safe when carefully done.
    2. i used the blade's edge to fold over the conductors. the edge was exactly behind where the conductors start. i did this in carefully in several stages in order to get a perfect fold.
    3. once i folded it back as much as i could, i proceeded to further flatten it between two flat surfaces. be careful not to make any rubbing motion; you just want to flatten it.
    4. eventhough i broke off my clip on my controlled, i was able to snugly fit the cable in the connector. if it doesn't fit go back to step 3. you should feel it go in a few millimeters.
    5. i taped it down and added the toothpick method just to make sure.

sorry no pics since im afraid of ruining my connection! having said that, the Parlex cable is WAAAY more robust than the cable that came with my monitor. there are two potential failure points on it: where the plastic strip meets the ribbon. i actually prefer my modded cable. it's working with a sharp fold in it! i would never be able to do this with the original cable.
