    I cant figure it out......

My touch screen is a xenarc 700tsv with new drivers from egalax..
I cant get the touch screen to beep on touch or beep on release..
I have onboard sound.. no option for pc speaker in the mixer...
I have pc speaker enabled in the bios and i have even tried copying beep.sys to the Windows xp sp2 c:\windows\system32\drivers folder...
Every other aspect of my touch screeen works..
Heres the kicker if i connect my touch screen to my other pc a via epia m100the beep works.. If i connect it to my carputer a dell gx260 no sound.. any suggestions.... I dont really need it but it better when ya know ya pressed a option on the screen. Any help is appreciated any flaming is welcome also..

There's a setting in the touchkit drivers for beep on touch.
    You need to enable that.
Look in the Windoze control panel for touch panel settings.

Hey darque thanks for the input.. But that was already tried " cant get the touch screen to beep on touch or beep on release"
Thats where i saw the option... in windoze and in the touch kit config utility...
Any other ideas thanks again though darq... What about themes... I turned that servie off and i set my sounds in windoze to none... But i still think that would only affect the onboard sound card.. Not the pc built in speaker.
KIAs can have car pcs too..

I think the beep is a windows sound, but I'm not 100% on that.
Although I don't think that Windoze suystem sounds or themes would have anything to do with the behavior of the touchkit, though.
Did you try rebooting after the settings change? I don't think that would do it, but anything is possible....

Sorry I don't have anything for ya that's more helpful.

Are you suing a stripped down version of XP?

hi Wired yep its nlite but i hardly took anything out.. I mean i have bluetooth working, usb hubs, serial ports for navigation.... I really think it has to do with the ribbon cable on the dell gx260...
I had to solder two wires to the connector.. This then leaves off the circuit board that has the powerbutton and the led on it.. Also i checked in device manger under non plug and play and i did not see beep
but under system devices the system speaker is enabled..
So my question is to the xenarc owners do you hear your touchscreen when you tap on it beep from the pc internal speaker or you soundcards speakers.
