    Datalux Touchscreen Problems

I have a Datalux LVM10R2 that I got on ebay. I was mislead on the item, and the seller won't return my emails.

When the PC is fired up, the mouse pointer goes to the top of the screen and stays there. When I move the pointer, it acts like a left click and drag, selecting all folders it goes near.

I have replaced the cable, and the touchscreen controller card. I have inspected the ribbon cables from the touchpad, and see nothing wrong, not cuts or breaks.

I am assuming the touchscreen is bad, but I would like to know if there is anything else I can look at or try before I attempt to find a used touchscreen that I can afford to replace it.

Any help would be appreciated, I am one of those that are in this on a shoestring, and I am about to abandon touch because of it.

    Jeff

is there something pressing on a corner of the touch panel?
on your pc, do you have the mouse reversed? (for us lefties, you can change which buttons are "right" and "left" click)

He's right, that's what it sounds like to me too, the computer is acting like it sees a "touch" as soon as the touch drivers load. A bad spot on the "skin" (is there a real name for this ****e?) or the sensors around it could cause this.

There is nothing obvious, but I'll look again.

    Thanks for your ideas.
