How to set 800x480

I just got a new Xenarc that says it is native 800x480

However, 800x480 is not an option. How do I set my monitor to this resolution????????????????????

You can only get it if your video card supports it. The Via on-board video cards don't support 800x480.

If your card does support it, either look for the settings in the display contol pannel applet, or download the powerstrip utility. The exact setting you need are on the Xenarc website. Once the video card is set correctly, the screen will automatically adjust.

If your video card doesn't support 800x480, you need a new one. I got a GeForce MX400 from ebay for $15 that works fine. Any nvidia card will be OK.

Yep, I have a crappy geforcemx card and it does it fine.

I had to input the advanced settings from the Xenarc FAQ into the nVidia control panel for it to work properly however. It kept wanting to detect at 800x600 or 640x480.

Works great now.
