Integrated LCD for VW MKV (Jetta, Rabbit, Passat)

Question for all you VW MKV owners:
Is it possible to fit a Xenarc 700TSV screen in the radio spot as shown in the Photoshop image? Can anyone place their Xenarc over the radio to check dimensions? I had to guess as I don’t have an actual LCD. If it fits, I am thinking of producing such bezel for MKV owners. I mean the bezel will be professionally drawn in CAD and injection-molded in a facility that specializes in making plastic car parts. The bezel will be all black and ready to be placed in your car. All you need to provide is the actual LCD.
If the Xenarc does not fit, what LCD would fit and what LCD would you MKV owners like integrated?

yeah you shouldn't have any problems, fitting it as shown

i has my lilliput that way initaially, but i had to get rid of buttons, since it woild not perfectly fit into aftermaket double din frame

BTW with lilliput, you can just drill a little hole for IR, if you want to use remote, you can also program to automatically start when power is fed, that's what i did.

This blog/report from CNET says VW ERL fitted a 9-inch LCD into the dash of B6...

Maybe I am just too greedy...

Here's another question... for those that go "headless" how about a solution for the steering wheel controls and the MFD? There doesn't appear to be anything on the market for this yet.

    get an ipac: http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html

although the new sieries everything ran with CAN signal , i am sure you can still get connection from the buttons, and calibrate it with I-PAC

in term of MFD audio display, well i am not really sure, but i believe if you go with some aftermarket headunit they will work with MFD,
