Weird, looks like something is pressing on them from the back side or maybe around the edges out of sight.
I have a 700tsv and dont have anything like that.
Hey guys,
I finally made the plunge and bought a basically new 700TSV. It was originally bought in march of 06, and according to the guy his CarPc project never got off the ground. No visible wear whatsoever, so I believe him that he only tested the monitor twice. Seal on backside is fine.
It is supposed to be a special model with "High brightness enhancement" from Mini-tft.de. I have the original receipt for about $820![]()
Now when I power it up, I can see two bright spots that always pop up in the same stop (top left and top middle) as soon as I put light pressure anywhere on the front or back. You can see them in the pics as white dots, kind of hard to capture them on camera.
While the rest of the screen looks good, for the money I think this is a real PITA. Is this normal or do I have a problem?
Thanks,
Lukas
Sorry for the blurry pics, all I could do without light.

Yeah, thats what I thought. It is only in those two spots, no matter where I touch it.
I am wondering if its has to do with the "high brightness enhancement". Maybe they changed out the touchpad or something and somehow screwed up the install.
I am just glad that I haven't opened the cover yet, I guess there should still be a warranty on it.
I had this problem when I took apart a in-dash lcd screen off ebay when the touch screen stopped responding. I wasn’t to careful about keeping the panels dust free and a small but unnoticeable amount of dust was between the screen and the touch panel and puts a pressure point on the lcd like of you pushed a pen on a normal lcd screen. If you take apart the screen very carefully and just use a screen cleaner wipe or even a can duster it should remove the dust partials and stop the pressure points form distorting the screen.
Thanks, but I am definitely NOT taking it apart... until the warranty expires! At least now I know that this is not normal.
I just spoke to the seller and he was not aware of the problem. We agreed that I will contact the company he bought it from and see what they will say. Worst case he will take it back.
I'll let you guys know when I have news. For a $820 monitor I definitely expect more quality!
