Thread: Anyone take apart a Transflective screen yet?

What I need to do is put the trans screen, guts and rear bezel onto my molded 629 front bezel. I took mine apart because the touchscreen was activated by the bezel. The transflective screen plus the touchscreen is a bit thicker than the original. You'll probably need to ensure the edges of your bezel not touching the screen. I placed some #24 wire between the bezel and the edges of the screen, that gave enough clearence for me. Maybe you'll also need a bit longer screws to hold the transflective screen in place.

There is a great post all about it, but it's alot of reading. Best thing to do to understand the trans screen is watch the video thats available in the MP3car store. Just click on the trans screen and you can d/l the video in the description.

Basicly, its a screen that just can't be washed out by sun and has a much wider view angle. I have a convertible, so it is a nescesity for me if I want to use my puter during the day.
