    Power On?

Hi... I got a screen from Tider with two vga boards, one (the broken one) is the right board for the buttons for the 619. The other board dont have the plugin for the buttons on the board, instead it has a different connector with like 15 pins or so. I dont know if this screen works yet so how can I power this thing on to find out?

The button board you need to use has 13 pins, correct?
This image shows the pinouts for both the 13 pin 619 buton board and an 8 pin.

Follow the connector pins 1 to 1 from your button board to your controller.
Using a tiny wire or paper clip, momentarily touch pins 5 and 8 while the monitor is powered. It should turn on. I am not sure if the button board needs to be connected to the lcd controller in order to work, but it is worth a try.

Allright, I tried the other board... The other board actually has the right button thing... But its damaged. Its missing a little part. The part looks like a small silver metal round thing with a black plastic square base.

This board thats damaged actually lit up the buttons and turned on the screen... But I think the ribon cable is too damaged so I'm ordering a new one.

When the thing powers on, there is a little green led that turns on very dim... if I press the power button the screen turns on and a few blue led's light up. then the led's turn off, screen still on, then the screen turns off.. maybe its that broken part?

The part thats broken on the board that seems to be working somewhat is viewable on this image:

Look at the bottom left hand corner.... the little gray round thing, thats it! Can I unsolder one of those off one controler board and resolder it into this board to make it work?
