look for an install by cloudy.
Hey, I did use search and didn't come up with anything so was just wondering has anyone used dual lcd screens in their car pc set up like so:
A widescreen touch screen somewhere that has all the controls on it, such as media player etc and also has a onscreen keyboard that can be activated. And a second screen above it somewhere maybe even mounted in the dash that displays GPS or whatever you have selected on the lower panel.
I'm assuming this has been covered before somewhere I was just unable to find anything and this does eliminate any need for a little keyboard in the car for certian applications. As well as allowing you to purchase a touch screen that doesn't have to be the best out there or transreflective to get total use out of it and lets you put that cash into a nice upper display (non touch screen) LCD.
Sry yes i'm a n00b lol but it was just a thought.

That's a sweet install. I wish he had more info on it. You can try the digital car forums.

I never thought about this, but it is a great idea.
I think turbocad did something like it, but using 2 front-ends on a vertically placed screen...
... for those long drives and having had a laptop 15"...
it is hard to think only a 7" will do...
So I was thinking.... I want your opinions...
WHAT IF I got a cheep 15" lcd, mounted it to some type of bracket and used it for movies or whatever ..... imagine a dual screen setup now...
The idea is the screen would fold down inbetween the console and seat...
AM I NUTS?
Any thinghts?
