Innovatek Dual Din Screen!

Well I have a flip out monitor from mp3playerstore.com right now and Im happy with it I guess.... I just want to put in a touch panel / non-flip out monitor...

Heres what Im looking at right now - DUAL DIN

Well as people are saying to avoid them I would like to... However I really like that price range. The PC port is a big deal to me... Would be a plus though... So if you guys have any suggestions... Please, suggest away... Puttin it in my maxima... Thanks

No VGA input. That means poor quality video.
No touchscreen control for the PC, only the functions of the player.
As a general rule, Innovatek products are crap, just like mp3playerstore's reputation.

This particular unit has been discussed at great length, although I don't know if anyone actually has one in-hand yet.

I find it amusing that someone says a product is crap, and then links to another one that looks like it rolled out of the same factory in China.

Has anyone here even been to China? If not, it may be an eye opener.

Well I haven't been to outer space but I don't need to be an astronaut to know there's no gravity there.

Anyway, the point is the screen the OP linked to has no vga port and the 2nd one does.

I have to be with the n00b on this one, I don't know where you get the "as a general rule" but I for once can tell you that I have purchased stuff from that store and I'm happy with them.

Also you are linking to a store (digitalww) that it also have "crappy" reputation of taking months to delevery.

I didn't say it was high-quality or anything else. I know someone who actually owns one of these and the quality is decidedly mediocre.

As netchris stated, the point is that the unit I linked to has the features desired by the OP, and generally desired for vehicle PC use.

And if you want to know how many problems people have had with Innovatek products, just search the forums here. There have been far more frustrations with them than success stories.

Actually, they've improved. They used to have a score of less than 1.

Obviously when there is a problem they do not know how to handle it, but obviously they are moving a lot of merchandise and the happy customers are remaining silent. This clearly shows how rellerratings is not accurate and only unhappy people signup and report. Sort of like the BBB.

You're 100% correct.

However, because of the problems that users have had, I still refuse to purchase anything from them. While I might very well have a wonderful experience, I don't want to take that risk.
