yeaaawww: My controller arrived, ARRRGGHH: a few problems

My controller arrived today and it is working great.

    Now for the problems:
My LCD is an 18bit one (sharp LQ104V1DG11), and in the properties in my PC i can choose between 16bit or 32bit only, now, when i choose 16 bit everithing works great, but when i choose 32 bits the screen "flickers" a bit (expected reaction), so i've been using it in 16bit mode, but i want to take full advantage of the screen, is there any software or "mod" (maybe in the registry??) that i can use to make the graphic card output 18bit? 16bits is fine, DivX and DVD looks great, but if can make it even better, that's fine by me

    Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but what size is your LCD and how much was it including the controller?
    Thanks

    things to check...

is the resolution your video card is running within the capabilites of your lcd? (i.e. trying to run 800x600 on a screen that can only handle up to 640x480)

is the refresh rate within lcd spec? some will only work at 60Hz, some can handle 75Hz.

check out powerstrip... you can run custom resolutions, probably custom color settings as well...

check the controller datasheet or manual... there may be a limit on the controller's capacity...

what controller card do you have??

    Rireal:
Everithing, and i mean material, shipping, burocracy, etc., costed me 380€ aprox.

    mp3z24:
Everything is checked, every value was tested, please understand that i don't have a problem with the screen nor the controller, what i want is to change a value in the Windows monitor properties, the color depht that my Windows let's me choose is:
    16 colors
    256 colors
    16 bit
    32 bit

What i want there is to add the 18bit option, or if not possible, lock it in the 18 bit option, either is good since i'm not going to change it anymore.

I'll go and test that software that you mentioned, i'll post later the results.

    Thanks for all the help

Hey what inverter did you get for this screen? Doesn't it take two of them?

No, the same controller supports two lamps, it has one input an then has two circuits, one for each lamp, but everithing is on the same PCB.

See this pic of the CXA-0217, mine is almost the same thing
