the back of the LCD says
Code:DENSITRON 4857FGYLV -0094 TAIWAN 9401
Also... the screen itself seems to do a "wave". it is not straight across, it has 2 large "bumps" or "ripples"
Is this bad? or normal? what?
OK, i have acquired one of Arby's 4x40 LCDs. i was wondering where to connect the power???
When i got the LCD, there were 2 red and 2 black wires soldered to the PCB. one of the black wires goes to a "hub" where 4 black wires meet. 2 of the wires have bare ends. one comes from PCB, one goes to the POT. Both The red wires are connected to a different POT.
In the box, was a loose red wire, which i can't figure out where it goes. Any ideas???
Software:
What software is reccomended for this parallel port LCD?
is there any way my LCD software can have 2 or more "modes"?
i would have a momentary switch on my case that i would push, and it would go from "winamp mode" to "temp mode" then push it again, it goes to "time/date mode" etc etc etc.
LMK!!!

Densitron has a website, and most (if not all) of their product specifications are (were last time I needed one) available there. I'd recommend looking there if you haven't already.
I got some .pdf files from thier site, but they dont really answer my questions.
hey..i got a question too! Where can i get cheap 4x40 lcds? Does Arby still have em?

There weren't supposed to be any loose wires in the box!
Do you have any pictures?
Did the shipping company run it over with a truck or something?
I don't have lcds, but I will wire them up for you for $20 if you send me one.Originally posted by Paladin

I'm looking for any pictues I have of the back right now.
If you have to, mail it to me, I'll fix it and mail it back, and re-imburse you for shipping.
You're in the US, right?
