    We're In

Count me in for atleast 2, maybe 3. My roommates and myself have been looking for a good in-car VGA. Also I sent you an email. Let me know the price.

    Thanks

OK, people have been wanting to know the spec's of this thing. Here are the specs we have so far.

    640x480 or 800x480
    250 NITS
    Touchscreen
VGA Input ONLY at this time
Currently have 29 people interested, one more person and we might get another price drop.
We are getting these straight from Xenarc.
Touchscreen is done via 9 pin Serial.

Any other questions should be e-mailed to me. I answer all e-mails same day. I have to wait until I get home (5:45 CST) to send replys however. Make sure you put somthing about Xenarc or LCD in the title of the message.

    THANKS!

Does the touchscreen controller use a serial or ps/2 port?

Anyone know if Xenarc or any other company might make these screens as an in-dash flip out monitor in the near future?

I agree with Hotwater i think that we should get the VGA/AV touchscreen combo.
Skippman the model number is 700TSV so you can ask the Xenarc people. Spysupplies charges $525 for this compared to $495 for the VGA only with touchscreen (model 700TS).
I don't think that the difference in price is too much compared with what we are going to pay already.

In an attempt to accomidate everyone I am asking Jason to offer both. He has stated in his e-mails to me though that those who want BOTH VGA AND AV will be paying 30 more for both.

It's your call which you want. When the final tally comes up your going to need to tell me which you want so I can let Jason know.

I personally would go for the normal VGA and use a composite passthrough on a video card. I'm going to be using an ATI AIW 128 PCI so that's not a problem for me.

There are some pictures of a xenarc display at ebay, the display is not VGA but it might interest to somebody. The pictures are worth looking at.

I can wait to get mine!!!

I'd like to point out the part on that auction that says "Retails for OVER $550". And that's non VGA.

Now that's out of my system, you all have mail. The current head count is over 30 people! I've asked Jason if we can get another price drop. Don't know if he will, but it's worth asking. Thank you guys for supporting this. I'm proud to be part of such an active on-line community. My friends may all think I'm nuts, but you guys understand.

    I'm interested

I'm interested in buying this tft but i'm not 100% sure. First i'd like to find out if they can ship to south africa. Secondly, do any of you think this screen will fit into a din-sized in-dash motorized 7" lcd tft? I'm interested in hacking this thing.
