    Thumbs up

This is a great deal. Even if you end up not liking the monitor, you could always sell it for what you paid! You all really have nothing to lose, and at the very least a little experience to gain!

I am so in on this, it isn't even funny. I'm trying to scrounge enough for two.

This is true, for anyone might not be satisified with this display - it seems most of the suppliers for the Xenarc touch model have had their stock literally fly off the shelves. So you'll have plenty of luck puttin' one of these up on ebay, if you feel so inclined.

Just remember that we're buying these for PERSONAL use. Not to resell. Xenarc is cutting us a deal, I'd hate to insult them. But you are correct that if it does not work out for you, selling it is an option. I only hope you'd see if anyone on the board wants it first. Kinda keeping it in the family as it were.

First let me thank you ALL for your interest. I'm getting ton's of e-mail in response to this deal. I have to say it's looking good for the home team.

Now, I gotta get this off my chest. I'll answer all of your questions. No problem. But PLEASE e-mail your questions to me. It makes it so much easier on me. It allows me to keep a count on how many people are intrested and I can update you all via my mail list that way.

Some of you have PM'd me and not e-mailed me. Since your user names and e-mail addresses don't always match up I have a hard time getting an accurate head count. The most recent count I've been able to come up with is 24 people (myself included). This is more than enough to get the better price. If we get 30 people I'm going to see if I can get another price drop, but no promisses.

Lastly, we have until mid August to get this together. Jason has extended the deadline due to some peoples requests. Also, the monitors do NOT accept composite inputs. It's either composite or VGA. I'm going with the VGA for two reasons.

1.) More people we're interested in VGA
    2.) It's what I want!

    Keep those e-mails comming.

I don't see ANY 6.4 touchkits on ebay. I just see 6.4 composite screens.

I bought the screen (it's not VGA) for $110 of Ebay. I got the overlay for $40 and the controller for $70. It's the ELO Intellitouch so it's supposedly pretty good. I'm going to use Winamp double size and I have custom buttons on the right so I can push them when stuff like GPS is up. I can control winamp through them also so I can change tracks when looking at maps.

no offense... but you get what you pay for... you have a composite screen (non-vga YUCK!) and this is a vga screen... hence the price and quality difference...
