BTW you do have the monitor with one cord, on the end it has VGA, a red video, a yellow video, a white audio, a black power plug and a usb plug... correct?

do you need to know what each wire is for or what each group is for?

Thick Red wire = Red Video (wire is double layered, outside layer is common ground)
Thick Yellow wire = Yellow Video (same thing)
    White wire = audio
    Meduim red wire = Power
    Solid black wire = Ground
All wires besides these above wires are USB wires.
2 are brown wires = dead they are not used at all
1 is a pink wire = it's hot so to speak but at the monitor it's not used either can cause issues (read below)
The set of wires in the very center of the bundle in the tin foil with plastic outside = vga.

Hope this is what you were needing to know.

    If not let me know.

    Few trouble shoot tips:

Monitor says "No Signal" after making sure that the video source is there.
Make sure the monitor is set to vga or Video 1 or 2, what ever your input is. I know it may sound dumb but I have seen so many people do this. Mostly from bumping it and no knowing.

When USB plugged in, monitor goes from showing picture or "no signal" to blank screen and red power light gets dim.
The cable bundle going into the plastic in the back of the monitor has heat shrink on the end of the black outside rubber skin and wire the wires come out of it to keep some wires in place. Problem is they never designed something to hold the wire in place. It comes from the screen mobo (motherboard) straight out the back. This heat shrink tends to get moved.

When this problem starts its the pink wire touching the naked ground wire.
At this point the heat shrink is more than likely loose enough to slide down just a bit. Pull the pink wire backwards so that it is resting on the very outside of the cable, cut any showing bare wire coming from the pink wire and slide the heat shrink back over it. Use a heat gun or lighter to work the heat shrink. If you do not bend the pink wire backwards so that it is point down to the adapter end of the cord and resting ( so to speak) on the outside of the main cable, when you go moving it all over again the plastic case is going to catch the heat shrink and work the pink wire right back into the ground.
