Need help identifying backlight inverter component Dynamix 816

Hi,

Long story short I broke a component on the backlight of my dynamix 816 (same as tview and provision). Since I though it was shot already, I started poking around with my multimeter probe and low and behold the backlight lit up when I poked the broken component, so I jumped the part with some solder and the screen worked fine. I'm guessing the part I broke has some function and the inverter probably won't last too long with out it. I'd like to just replace the component instead of the whole inverter, so here's a picture of the part. If there's any kind hearted individual out there that could tell me what this little sucker used to be I'd be greatly appreciative.

The inveter is a Hitachi PH-BLC88.

Did it have a number on like the component's surrounding it. It's impossible to tell without seeing the actual component that came off but it is more than likely a surface mounted resistor.

If you can find and take a picture of the original component we can go from there.

I can't take a picture of the orginal component, because I broke it into a bunch of little tiny pieces. I was hoping someone might have the same screen or inverter and could look on theirs. I might just try to get a hold of dynamix and see if one of there tech support guys could help me.
