bump?
Well the roads are really ****ty here after we had a big snow storm and it was all rutty, now nothing out of the ordinary and I was driving slow, but I noticed that sometimes when I hit a bump the screen would flicker wierd colors for a second. Then it started flickering through a bunch of different colors, so I turned it off, when it came back on it was all BLUE TINTED, then I turned everything off, tried again and its blank, nothing comes up at all, and it was detected that the cable was in because it wasnt saying NO VGA CABLE DETECTED, but I just checked again, and now it does, with or without cable it just says that on the screen until it times out and goes dark
before you tell me to read the faq, I did, but dont have access to do any soldering till sometime next week, was hoping for some insightif the colors are off (eg my screen had a bluish tint to it)
check the soldered connections on the board, or check to see if the pins on the din connector are bent; check the color settings on the lilliput menu
try a different VGA cable.
I know my monitor was tinted all green, and when I replaced the VGA, everything was fine.
hm, never thought of that but ill give it a shot, not really expecting much. I do have my solder stuff back though, variable temp iron and some good new solder. Ill tear it apart sometime in the next few days and post back, if someone else has some other ideas please post as im sitting here biting my nails on my $300 broken purchase, not only that but a while ago I dropped it and cracked the glass on the screen a touch, touchscreen worked for about 3 weeks and then it died, so I got a cheapo full size keyboard to use temporarily until I get a monitor back in the car. It sucks having to navigate songs and stuff with only buttons, and visualizing what is on the screen at the time
My 10.4 Lilliput just started having a pink haze/dots all over the screen.
Is this what yours is doing???
I suspect it may be a broken or loose pin on the inside but I have not broken the seal on the monitor yet. I do not want to void the warranty and am trying to get the seller (Electronicar) to replace it under warranty first. I have only had it a month![]()
From what I have read yours may be the same problem. So if your not worried about the seal I would check that first, after checking the vga cable.
But I am no expert, just my opinion.

no, mine flickered different colors (as if the individual RGB colors were turning on/off all throughout the screen) but now it wont turn on at all, and now gives the message "no vga cable detected" when it is, and it times out and goes dark. Doesnt do anything but power on. Before I rip it apart im gonna check an rca input. still havent had time to do it
mine was built to be detachable, what are the chances its the lilli cable? Its goes from the lilli to a 7foot cable which is tucked and hidden around the car, to the spare tire well where the computer is. Cable looks okay, havent tested another one (no access). The pins inside the lilli cable look okay
I have, I tried pretty much everything I can do with that monitor cable before I came here
