yarg! Xenarc will not display 800x600!

Hi all.

At the risk of getting

(yes I've tried)........
My xenarc won't display 800x600 properly. I get an "unknown mode" box from the screen itself and the screen image is missaligned (split about a third down from the top and wrapped over). Seems like it can't interpolate. It works in 640x480, but anything else besides these two gets me nothing but white screen. Both resolutions are running on 60 hz. Could the refresh rate be my problem? 640x480 really sucks and some progs I use won't run or fit on screen in this resolution.
Also, my chipset won't do 800x480 either. Got a new card on order.
the xenarc is a few years old as it's been sitting in the closet for a while now waiting for install.

What the heck is going on? Am I missing something simple? (powerstrip is no help either but I've only done very limited fooling around with it)

hokay,
Done a little more research and even contacted xenarc. Seems that the monitor is old enough to only support 640x480

Next question:
Anyone have a xenarc with a busted screen? Seems I need to change the board in order to update it to display higher resolutions. I've pretty much resigned myself to having to buy another monitor for the front dash custom application. Xenarc is willing to put in a new board but seems I'm looking at around 200 bucks to do it, about what I can snag a screen of ebay for (yeah I know, ebay, uggghhh). Even just the board at a decent price would be ok as I would just use it as a monitor for the back seat.

Guess this is what happens when you wait too long to start your project.......

hmmm, I have a 4 year old 700TSV. When I got it I had to run it at 60hz refresh rate and I allways though it could only run at 60.
Recently I redid my pc and for some reason I am now forced to use it at 75hz refresh rate.
Works fine.
