backlight might be fishy.
So, I just bought a Dynamix monitor "new" on eBay. I got it and the accessories and box were noticeably distressed. That's no big deal...but the monitor won't stay on! I've managed to keep it on for about 2 mins. max. Most of the time it just flashes on and blacks out. The touch works even though the screen is black. The power stays on w/o the screen showing anything. I can't figure it out. I've tried multiple PC's and multiple resolutions. I've searched for other people with problems and didn't turn up anything like this.
I'm trying not to be a newbie, but I can't figure it out. Does anyone have a good idea of what's wrong or how it could be fixed? Does anyone have experience with Dynamix Tech support? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply. I just thought about it today and the problem was the backlight. The backlight was not getting enough power. I don't know why the company packaged the AC adapter with the screen. If the screen needs around 900mA at 12V, there is no way that the little AC adaptor could power that. So, that was the problem. I am running the screen off of the computer 12V rail. It works great! I really like the screen.
So, I don't have anymore problems with the screen. It's the smallest package for that size screen I've seen. It's sturdy. The touchscreen is great. It's going to fit in my 2002 Acura with out a problem. (Maybe I'm being too positive.) I'm looking forward to posting some photos...
I had a 7" dynamix and loved it. I used it for 2 years with out a hitch. I am currently in the market for another one, but it seems they are discontinued.
Good luck with the new screen..
