    DWW-750FM Wiring help

    Hey all...

So I have my new DWW-750FM, factory wiring harness, etc. Got everything wired correctly, and damn, no power, won't even turn on. Now given that I am not a wiz at this sort of stuff, I hope is me! . I have the speakers wired up, that was easy enough, but the power side threw me. Here is what I have:

Yellow wire - 12 volts constamt power connected to yellow wire on the DWW-750FM harness

Black/White - Amplifier Shield Ground connected to the black wire on the DWW-750FM harness

I do have a red wire coming from the cars wiring harness that says its Red - 12 Volts Switched Power that is not connected to anything that is on the DWW-750FM harness, that strikes me as odd.

The wires i have available on the car harness are:
    Red - 12 volt switched
    Orange - Illumination
    Blue - power antenna

The wires I have available on the DWW-750FM harness are:
Orange - Phone in control cable (huh, what is that?)
Red/Black - PC Power control (for PC power button)
    Red - Light Switch Cable
    Blue - Reversing Light
Green/Grey - PC Reset Control Cable (for PC reset button)

At this point, Im stumped...I know a few people have the unit, so any help would be greatly appriciated!!!

total stab in the dark, people who have the unit should comment...but usually, red is constant 12v, yellow is ACC or ignition i.e. your 'trigger wire'.

I can look at that...thanks for the info. The part that confuses me is that does the system not need three connections, 12volt battery (constant), ground and ACC to work? The input to the harness for the 750FM has two wires, so something is missing, I think.

I may have to wait for a DWW-750FM expert... I know they are out there...maybe a beer bribe!

    i have a cid700m which is a rebranded dww750fm.
    I had it installed today.
Have a look at this manual instead of the one you may have recieved with it http://www.cartft.com/support/doku/m...dl/CID700M.pdf as the color coding on my units wires were correct and labelled in english.
I remember (morris_the_cat) said that his wires were labelled in chinese and the power wires were reversed i think.
Either way i think my acc wire was red on my unit,in the manual it was labelled light switch cable but on the unit it was labelled acc.
