Here's another shot I took with the strip that was leftover from the sheet.

I just spent a few minutes trying to get it on a TS panel outside of the car...what a PITA! It's very difficult (verging on impossible) to get all of the bubbles out. That's one arguement for getting the non-adhesive version however, I'm not sure it will work as well if it's not adhered to the panel since there will be a variable gap between the sheet and the glass.

Interesting that Lilliput made this screen around that time

maybe you should have tried the soapy water spray technique to apply the film? Kind of like how they apply tint on car windows.

Agreed. Look at the upper right hand corner...there is detail visible (time) in the with the film installed that is invisible in the first pic.

Not a miracle, but an improvement that might lead to better usability for sure.

    Hmmm.

After recalibrating the gamma curve with MCW there may be even more of an improvement.

Yeah I mean it definitely helps. Sure, its not as good as a transflective screen, but if this can keep the reflections down to where they are atleast not painful, (ie: sunroof open, reflection blinds you), then that alone is enough benefit IMHO

You guys think it looks like it increases the contrast ratio maybe a little?

I think that is a function of the reduced glare...AFAIK, the contrast ratio is determined by the LCD panel itself, and not by external films.

It's almost like it looks like what some of the car makers use. I saw a factory screen in a Jag drop top outside with the roof down, and it certainly didn't look like the sun brightened it up like it was transreflective, but it didn't reflect and blind, either.
