That's wierd. I have never experienced anything like that before on my screen or any of my friend's screens. Have you tired using a different resolution/refresh rate?
Hello all,
After installation of my 7" Lilliput LCD screen, I am having a problem in that it will work for a while (for anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours) but then the screen goes blank and I am receiving "Over Range" Warning message from the LCD, before it shuts itself off. I have done some extensive searching on the forums for this problem, and found some suggestions to switch the monitor type in the BIOS to "LCD" from "LCD+CRT", however this did nothing. I've also ordered some spare ribbon cables from Digital Worldwide and will try new ribbons when they arrive. For now, has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks a bunch in advance for any help out there...

Yep I've tried all that.
I'm starting to think that it's the VGA output on the motherboard, maybe not the Lilliput after all. It is a VIA EPIA SP13000. I brought the mounted LCD/radio bezel inside today and gave it a vga signal with my laptop, it stayed on no problems for over 3 hours. I also hooked a 12" Flat panel up to my carpc (which is still in the car), and after a while (about an hour) the power would turn off. No message like the Lilliput gives, but I figure it is the result of the same problem.
Does this make any kind of sense to anyone?
Odd. All I can suggest is messing with the BIOS Settings more. I remember more settings in the same menu where you can change the disply type.
Found the problem after isolating it to the LCD screen. Bummer, had to buy a new LCD though. The new screen stayed on all day today, although there are some minor issues with the new screen now, like the fact that I have to run 800x600, at other resolutions the desktop is displaced off the edges of the screen. No big deal though, just glad this one stays on!
What's strange though is that running the old screen inside the house (off my laptop) gave me no problems. Makes me think it couold have been a cable issue, even though I tried reseating it several times but kept getting the problem. Oh well, I wont bother trying to figure that one out, just going to enjoy my new carpc now.
Hey volum3rider, thanks for your replies to my posts, it is much appreciated.
