So I now have PC Navigator 7 Europe...
I ordered previous Monday, received it on Thursday.
It works under Wine, although I still have an issue with sound, but I hope I can solve it soon.
I have a Navilock TMC capable GPS receiver and it is fully supported.
I had TMC running in my test setup, but yesterday evening I installed the carPC in my car and can't get it to work anymore. :-(
It must be something stupid I'm missing.
Anyway, I did a quick testdrive and it works as advertised. ;-)
Maps from 2007, navigation accross Europe, fast route calculation, recalculate as you go, etc...
I'm not really into skinning and so on, so I can't comment on that.
I use it full screen, but you can minimize it from the menu.
They have ;)

We were talking about a Linux version, is it only this version that can work whith Wine ? Or a full version, installable on Linux ?
We are talking about linux version but it's not still available, should be but no dates yet defined.
Okay, I don't have to hurry
(sorry for the expression, I didn't find the right one)
I'll wait for it :)
For PC Navigator 6 and 7 there is currently only a Windows version available, no Linux version.

You have to realize Linux versions, or even PC versions, are not a priority for them.
The Linux version of PC Navigator 6 was going to be released in June 2006, but their schedules always slip... As to date, nothing released yet...
As Version 7 was released now and I need a functional navigationsystem in less than 2 weeks, I decided to go with the Windows version and run it under Wine...
It's not what I wanted, but you can't always get what you want...
By the time a Linux version is available (if ever), there will be new maps, etc...
And in the mean time, I have navigation capability in Linux... (Which is my main reason for a carpc.)
There is still the possibility to download maps updates from the support even if a late release is made ;)
