    Google Earth Plus for Linux???

So I decided to look around and see if there was any progress on the situation and found this...

    https://registration.keyhole.com/choice_lt_initial.html

I have a Username and License Key, and need to download Google Earth Plus for Linux.

After installing, select "Upgrade to Google Earth Plus" from the "Help" menu in order to enter your login details.
Whoohoo! Have to try this out today.

Damn, not so fast. GPS support still doesn't work in Linux.

I wouldn't mind as I have a program that uses GPSD to generate the KML, but every once in awhile, GE craps out reading the file and won't try again until it's toggled.

This really ****es me off as originally, I figured it was just reading mid-write and not paying attention to flock, so what I did was instead, fork off a mini-web server and point the link to that to make sure it couldn't read it mid-write, but it still happens

Hmmm, I wonder. It's a nice interface (I'm sure most would prefer it to my cmd line cachebuilder and gps interface), but I wonder if it would have the same problems.

I mean, externally, they are doing the same things as far as GE is concerned (Reading gpsd and writing kml files or network links). It's been a bit, I'll have to see if there is a newer version of GE, but at the moment, my install is out of the car for refactoring.
