On another note I would be more than happy assisting in the porting of my RR skin to use as a linux frontend layout. Its a very clean, easy to use interface and I coded it myself for RR and I know changes would need to be made to the code to send commands to mplayer instead of winamp. Not sure if any of the button location code can be used or to start a rewrite but im hell bent on reverse engineering RR to linux. There are many apps that are cross platform but im not sure the limitations in the VB6 code.
Another member who I know can help with this is entilap. He coded a frontend in C++ that used RR skins and mplayer as a backend although it ran on windows I know he could help. Hopefully he will start coming around more as he has said he has newer code than is currently released.
RR to me makes sense as a clone or port candidate since it is, like linux, completely open source.
Ahh just more ideas spilling out but we all know that together if we work toward similar goals we can have some software that does blow windows out of the water.
