Ok, so I decided to go with Linux ICE. I downloaded the live CD for the Alpha 4 version. Put it on my PC and I guess it was OK, but there's no option to put a web browser on? And NGhost doesn't view in full screen? I tried downloading firefox and burning it to a disk. Well that didn't work too well considering there's no option in ICE to open a disk unless it's a DVD. Should I go with something like Ubuntu? I'm just not digging this Linux ICE, seems to be lacking a lot???
to install firefox type the following in Accessories->terminal:
I would install thunar so that you'll be able to transfer files around while nghost is awaiting that ability:
sudo apt-get install firefox
We wanted to keep the CarPC essentials in and nothing more. A browser may be included in future versions if more people think it is essential.
sudo apt-get install thunar
Thanks for the feedback. We'll use it to improve our direction.

I assume it's because the drivers for my wireless card aren't installed? They automatically got installed with Ubuntu? How do I get them for ICE?
the drivers probably did load, it just hasn't connected to anything automatically.
should connect you to your AP.
sudo iwconfig [wlan0] essid "myessid"
or iwconfig wlan0 essid any
and iwlist scan to list the available APs
The next version of nGhost will have a simple wifi manager but for now, I recommend wifi-radar.
Hope that helps

oh, replace "wlan0" with your wireless device (usually eth1, wifi0, wlan0 or something of the like). You can discover this with the "iwlist scan" command.

I get the same error as before trying the ones you listed plus the lo, eth0, and ra0.
sounds like your drivers aren't being loaded for your device. Let us know what wifi device you have and the model number.
the outputs from:
I wonder if your device has a driver that is considered "restrictive" and LinuxICE isn't loading it. If you feel brave you can download restricted-manager and its dependencies (not sure if there are deps needed for LinuxICE but probably there are).
Alternatively drop into the #linuxice irc channel irc.freenode.com (there are tons of irc clients/apps out there, a quick google will help you find one) and we can walk you through the process of installing what you need to.
Its pretty obvious that we need to hit wifi management hard for beta1. This should never be difficult.
Yeah IDK everything loaded fine in Ubuntu.

Is the wireless card that showed up. What part of the "lsmod" did you need? The list is pretty long, lol. Thanks again for the help.
Well I just went back to Ubuntu due to the lack of support and information available for my current setup. Thanks anyways.
