    Did I read that right that viking needs an internet connection when in use? I'm hoping to be able to load the maps and just update once in a while.

    Any good gps program should at LEAST cache the maps. Haven't tried Viking.

    yam: is the routing on roadnav working for you? i couldn't get it to find my address to route to. i am using the the tiger/line maps for US

    It works butit shows a bunch of error messages and then it shows the route with a red line and a dialog box shows text direction (they are a little hard to understand but theroute helps a lot.
