Try it out yourself. Download VirtualBox from Sun (it's free). This will give you a virtual machine within Windows that you can then install any OS into. Install a Linux distro of your choice (Ubuntu, for example). Install Wine, if it doesn't come preinstalled (apt-get install wine). Put the CD in, browse to /media/cdrom and double-click the setup.exe (Wine automatically associates itself with .exe files). Or from the command line, just do "wine /media/cdrom/Setup.exe"
I'm actually in the process of evaluating nGhost within a VM now, to see if I want to get rid of RoadRunner in favor of nGhost. I may even port over my favorite RR skin (Elite Lite) to nGhost.
