I think it is past time for me to try out LinuxICE. I'll let you know how it goes.

Best of luck... it's real easy to set up in my experience. The one and only reason why I don't use LinuxICE is due to missing features of ODBII as well as lackluster Sirius/XM control.

My suggestion... throw LinuxICE into a VM first and play around with it. From there, you should be able to get a good idea on how to set it all up.

I assume you know about obdgpslogger, ncarinfo and nobdy right? I dare predict LinuxICE will soon have the most advanced OBD-II data system in all of carpc-dom... Hope to show that off at AFKFest this Aug.

The former two are preinstalled just need to be started up.

As for Sirius/XM... you got me there

Yeah, what I've seen with the OBD-II data stream coming up is freakin fantastic. I'm no noob to the wonders of *nux. I've built my own and even rolled a remaster of minimal 10.04 in hopes of getting better driver support on the Sirius/XM tuning. Unfortunately that for me is a dealbreaker. Most of the stuff I listen to is strictly on Sirius/XM. The best part though... I have LinuxICE on a 16GB USB drive and dual boot the carputer. So at this time I've got the best of both worlds.

Kudos on the autoappmart... that's awesome! I've been following OpenICE since 8.10 (when I got into carputers). It's not fully functioning and there are still some major reproducible bugs. I'm still following nevertheless cause Linux is where my heart remains.
