    If you're a Debian fan, you can use jigdo to assemble ISOs from debs you might already have. Won't speed up your downloads any over grabbing the ISOs themselves; best way to speed up is to choose the fastest mirror from your location.

    But if you're a Debian fan, you already knew that.

    Just set it up to download overnight.

    Or you can get them off newsgroups (if you have a subscription). I usually download at 600+ k/s.

    You can also check places like packetnews.com and ircspy.com but they are less likely to have the one you want then bittorrent.

    I still don't see whats wrong with downloading from a distro or a distro's mirrors. Alot of the time you can find a fast .edu or a telecomm server nearby. I know I downloaded my Gentoo livecd's at around a constant 300-350 from gatech.
