    Question Has anyone tried GPSDrive?

    Hey y'all,

This is my first post in these forums, only recently found the site, but i've been pondering over a carputer for a couple of years.

I plan on using linux, and i came across this GPS software, just wondering if anyone's given it a try?

GPSdrive although a great program and kudos to the designer is not a great solution if you want coverage of a whole state. The maps are not vector based and so a map is needed for each zoom level. The result is it takes gigabytes of harddrive space to get any decent coverage.

Moreover - NO NAVIGATION. GPSDrive only displays current location on map.
