All hail Linux!
Ok let's be constructive.
Is there any project about phone control ?
If not yet then i'll start design a front end for gnokii that will be available for download.
Here is the screenshot of only a mockup of what it could be.

Actually i'm simply throwing buttons on the UI to imagine what i would like to find on it.
I added features like sound of phone to amplifier lowering music and turning phone up.
Voice synthesis already used in other part of my project.
Volume managing.
Emergency button to call rescue in a second.
Photos album, phonebook, etc etc
All this using bluetooth.
It actually works as i said with my e-mails and for browsing on the net using the Motorola V3's GPRS modem.

Hahaha... I write my share of MS apps at work all day, and come home to Linux at night. My MSDN license will allow me to install any platform I want, and I choose Ubuntu.Quote:

The solution: don't fix anyone's computer unless they give you whiskey...
Now where was I?

See ya have it all wrong, the FIRST thing ya have to do is drink the whiskey (the more the merrier). Then you Fix their computer. With any luck you will never have to worry about that problem again :buddy:

At work I have two big monitors on my desk - one for an XP machine and one for a Linux system. It's not surprising one monitor ends up showing the screensaver alot. Guess which one :)

Here's what the superior monitor enabling says to me...
On the system I am using right now ( 1.9Ghz P4 ATI Radeon 8500) I am viewing things at 2048x1536(Suse Linux).
On XP Pro / Server 2003 the most that would work was 1600x????. I would have to say that the linux system is more brilliant ( without changing gamma ). So, their " Better graphics" only if you buy their DRM monitor must be BS..

Its all bull****. I havent used any new windows OS's since 2000. And I only use 2000 for computers that I cant find drivers for.
Linux you get twice the performace for a free price. The kicker is, everyone has been using windows for 10 years, and dosent want to try anything new. There is very little time involved in "learning" a new os. There are still buttons and menu's.
The only thing that gets to me is the games. Does suse 10 have a better windows emulator?
Cedega is your best bet http://transgaming.com, they are 2nd in the knowledge of DirectX only to MS.Quote:
