Dude winamp and outlook?? Just use XMMS and Kmail. I can see running windows if you have some great software that only runs on win32 but come on, those are common media and mail apps. . .

If thats whats holding you back than you should go for it. IMO sound is much better pushed from a linux box

oh yeah and my fav linux distro is tied between debian and suse.

I'm not a linux guy, but I play one in real life....

I work with Slackware on VIA TC6000 for embedded applications.....
But I have tried DSL, and Knoppix on these, just for the fun of it.....

I have an old EPIA 5000 that I am typing this from... It runs Slackware (2.6.xxx kernel with the EPIA patch)
I have tried DSL and Knoppix on this as well...

I also have a M10k in my car running winxp.... I dont think any XM program is ported to Linux yet, right?
I have thought about putting DSL on a USB key for giggles, just to see how well it works in that environment....

I have had a lot of problems getting basic SVGA lib stuff to work on the EPIA 5000. Xwindows runs fine, but the console SVGA doesn't.....

    I aslo have:
G4 with Video Editing and Graphics Software.....
Dell Dual Proc (500 something Mghz) that I can't think of anything to do with.....
A desktop PC running WinXp for the Wife and kids.......
A laptop for Couch surfing, posting, and solitare.....
A Gateway laptop that was once a picture frame....running XP

I just realized my wife is right....... I am a dork.

Well, I didnt want to say it, but the games are another BIG feature stopping windows getting the boot - Football manager and Brian Lara cricket cant be beaten and for FM at least, its not available on ps/xbox either....

But dual booting is good anyways - best of both worlds!

P.s. Im giving debian a go as I type. I'm still learning loads all thanks to forums like this. Keep up the good work!
