Don't you think it would be much more productive to contact RR support?
ive got damnsmalllinux on a live cd right now. what do i need to do in order to get road runner running on dsl? (i know im gonna need to get it installed into the ram), but what else am i sposed to do?
coming from windows and this is all kinda new to me so dont flame me....
If you mean RoadRunner front end, you are out of luck cuz it a windowz software written in VB6.
If you mean Road Runner high speed cable internet, you should configure a router and use it from there. The hard part is configure your NIC card (wire or wireless) first. Read up at DSL forum to get help. Most of linux is search, read, search and read, search and read again.
Other option is to contact Time Warner for support, but I don't think you get much out of it.
Might be able to get it running under wine, but I'm not 100% on that as I have no idea what Road Runner does or what it's even based on.
The best resurrected frontend I've ever used, period.
