iGuidance 2.1.3 in Wine

Okay, to change the default window behavior, you need to edit the style file associated with the style you are using. I changed the bordersize to be 0, then changed the tab style to get rid of them. I don't remember the exact values I used, but I can look them up when I get to my config file again.

It is also possible to set the default window position and size by saving the configuration with the programs in the positions you want. This was useful to make iGuidance show up full screen with no border.

Just remember, when you remove the frames, you might remove the possibility of moving windows.

I'm thinking of taking the plunge with Iguidance & Crossover office, anything version wise I should be weary of? I see that the latest version of IGuidance is 4

Hmmm, I can still find v3 for the same money, but if 4 is better, I'm wondering if I should try that. My luck is v4 will have a deal breaker :(

Hmm, not looking too good. Tried it with Crossover office as well and no luck. Keeps complaining about not finding the "Text to Speech" files, looks like it uses Scansoft (formerly Dragon Naturally Speaking I believe). I think it needs to be running or is missing some registry info.

I think it uses standard windows TTS engine, which is not a part of wine, I think some dlls are going to be needed, and as you said, registry entries.

It's not the standard one, the files are there in the RealSoft folder, think it's a matter of getting the service to start.

So far, no good. It's having problems installing a windows service.

I did install sapi5, then reinstalled IG4. Then I copied over sc.exe from a winbox so it could start the service.

The service starts, but still the same message, even if I get that straightened out, I'll still need to deal with activation. (Wish I just bought v3).
