Ehm.. really i didn't see again this error. Maybe i've typed something wrong. Now i've got this warning:
    Code:
    [malo@ArchBox ~]$ navit
Can't find the datafiles directory for CEGUI files. Navit will probably crash :)
    CEGUI Exception occured:
    DefaultResourceProvider::load - TaharezLook.scheme does not exist
    quiting...
I think that there isn't the TharezLook skin with my cegui version. Where can I download it? From the cegui site i've a 404 error

    Sorry for my English..

Ok. Maybe OpenStreetMaps has datas in your area? It's working well with navit, althought being a little slower than the other maps.

Ok. Thanks Noneus btw for this package

Thanks There's still a lot of work, but our friend Mineque has a great talent with design.

Yes. This is a common error. If you can, try the cvs version rather. 0.0.1 is getting old, and 0.0.2 is due for soon. This file missing thing is fixed since a few weeks.

If you can't use cvs for any reason, let me know, i'll provide you the required files.

OK.. i've compiled the latest cvs. I read all the topic and now I understand much more.. I edited the navit.xml file and set the correct plugin path, but:

** (<unknown>:27685): WARNING **: failed to connect graphics to gui

    Mmm..

    3 possibilities :
    a) either you choosed incompatibles gui and graphics
    b) or you choose a gui or a graphics that wasn't compiled
    c) your settings for the library are wrong.

    Solutions :
    a) for now, gtk gui can use gtk_drawing_area graphics and sdl gui can use opengl graphics. Please show me the relevant lines of your navit.xml, with the <plugins> items
    b) watch carefully the configure output, it will tell you if something is disabled. You may miss a dependancy for sdl, and have requested the sdl gui
    c) check if there is .so files in the path specified in the plugin section.

We are aware that this configuration system isn't user friendly. But it's really efficient and allow us to focus on some other important points for now. It will be enhanced in the future, unless someone wants to work on it now

I'll use this to enhance our FAQ, it will help a lot of people i think

OK.. i've used the config file in the make directory, and navit with gtk starts.
Changing the config to use sdl, i've got a segmentation fault.
Reading the troubleshooting, maybe the problem is with the gps and gpsd. I'll watch tomorrow. Thanks for your help

    Good point

This is where gdb could really help.

    No problem.
But i don't think it's related to gpsd. if you had something wrong with it, you would have the messge 'no gpsd support compiled in, gps disabled'.

Let me know if you can output the gdb stack. There is a word about that in the wiki.

    See you!

You have maps? Or you are using the OSM sample map from Munich?
It seems to crash when rendering a non-UTF8 string. I've never had this bug before.

Please confirm your datasource, i'll investigate.

Also, please note that you can't move around in the sdl gui currently. The sdl gui will move the map only to recenter the view on the vehicle position. (this is note the case in the GTK gui). If it's annoying for you, i can add some code to be able to move the map. Let me know (it's just that no one needed it until now).

And, last thing, it's maybe a good idea to open a thread at our sf's forums, and add a link here for anyone interested in your problem.

    See you!
