Glad you like it govee...I'm assuming it is working for you also! Be sure to check back for the package update so you can get the Grubsplash!!!!

Alright Kev000...Here is the completed package as promised for you to test. It has the Grubsplash included...Plus the original images for you to tinker with and see if you can get them to work. Keep me posted if you get them to work, cause I like them better also!!!

To use your own image for the Grubsplash you need to:

1)Open the image of your choice using gimp
    2)Change the mode to rpm
    3)Resize it to 640x480
    4)Flatten the image
5)Change the mode to indexed(using only 14 colors)
6)Save the image in xpm format

Now you can install it using the start-up manager(manage bootloader theme option)

    Keep up the good work!!!!

Wish I could make the Grubsplash look like the original image, but the grub bootloader can only support 14 colors...Maybe somone will fix this issue in the future!!!

Grub2 supports more colors and png/jpg's. LinuxICE 2+1 will probably have grub2.

LinuxICE will then have stepped its game up. Hope that an update option is made for the current version so I won't have to reinstall my whole system(Didn't make a home partition when I installed...Sure don't want to have to replicate all my settings just to get grub 2!!!!). If that's at all possible!

You should be able to just "apt-get install grub2". It may mess up everything, so do it on a test machine or VM first.
