Does anyone know how I can get my "Internet" menu icon to launch Firefox instead of Carbon???????
Thanks to my contact Govee who provided me with directions...I was able to edit my menu icons. I came up with some pretty nice ones to go with my theme. So good that I felt it would only be right to make icon packages to share with whomever would like to spice up their install also. Hopefully Kev000 will like them also enough to include them in an updated iso image of LinuxICE2 along with the Usplash!!!
You can get them here(6 per package)...and don't forget to get the Usplash theme also(In case you missed it)!!!!!
Here is a screenshot of what they look like( they only look rough in this image because I had to use Windows paint to create this screenshot, and it doesn't handle the images format well)...
Comments are welcome!!!!

Had to re-edit the "Video" menu icon cause I felt it wasn't sharp enough. Here is what it looks like now...
For those who feel the same you can get the updated button here also!!!

The icons look great! How about pointing to a source of info for unpacking and installing them?
GreenHorn:
To install you must(after extracting the contents of the packages)....
1)Open up your root terminal
2)Type "sudo gimp" to open up gimp
3)Once gimp is open you must open "/file system/usr/share/nghost/vistique/screens/images/menu_buttons/"
4)Replace each corresponding button with the ones in the packages(by saving as a replacement)
5)Restart your machine.
6)Enjoy your new "Menu" buttons!!!!!!

Awesome work,
To change your browser to Firefox you need to edit the "/etc/nghost/nghost.conf".
find this line:
Change to:Code:internet=Carbon
Is firefox installed?Code:internet=firefox

I am currently working on new buttons for the ICEPanel to give it some life. Will post them as "LinuxICE2_ICEPanel-Icons" as soon as I get them completed!!! So stay tuned!!!!
Trying to help Kev000 make LinuxICE one of the top CarPC OS's out there(by helping with the eye candy part of it) as much as I can with my limited knowledge of linux!!!!!!!![]()
