Hate to break it to you but even when you get the drivers the wireless is gonna be crap....apparently its a very underpowered card.
I fired up the zotac ion to make some new videos for the upcoming LinuxICE 2.0.1.0 (get it? 2010? :P) release. Alas, I'm running into some issues. Here's a few:
Wireless:
The driver that comes with the 2.6.28-17-linuxice2 kernel for wireless is crap. It just plain doesn't work. So here's how to fix it (yes I'll get some packages created to make this easy):
1 - apt-get install build-essential linux-headers
2 - wget http://wireless.kernel.org/download/...-02-01.tar.bz2
3 - cd compate-wireless-2010-02-01/ && make && sudo make install
4 - reboot

My Zotac board works well. I replaced the antenna with an external antenna and mounted it inside the pillar next to the windshield. Went from ZERO signal from my wireless router while sitting in the driveway to 75%.
I'm noticing that wifi is really crappy. my cheap $15 wal-mart usb stick gets better reception.
That's too bad.
