the pulseaudio mute issue is solved in an update to 2.0 and is already installed in 2.0.1 (which will be released soon). If you drop to the command line and run 'sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' you should get it and a bunch of other bug fixes. alsa-utils is the packages that fixes it. you should also be able to update running ice-update from the apps menu, however, i think that there is a bug in ice-update currently (will be fixed in 2.0.1.- While in file manager I was able to open and play the file using mplayer. However, as mention in another post, pulseaudio defaulted to mute. I haven't tried the fix yet, so i'll edit when I do.
I may have to look closer in this. I don't use cds... ever. I'll try to come up with a solution in a future update.- I tried inserting a cd, but when I select the cd tab the button animation flashes and nothing happens. I know the drive works because I used it to install.
It may be the browser. Can you try to sudo apt-get install firefox- The network manager indicates that I am connected via wire, but when I open the browser nothing loads.
i'll look into changing the layout of matchbox-keyboard.- Can the button size of the osk be enlarged? I have to use a stylus type on it.
only the install option should have disappeared. icetouch, etc should still be there. Are the other apps showing up?-Also all of the setup stuff that was under apps has disappeared. Is that only available during install or can i get it back so I can recalibrate the touch screen?
the nghost3 stuff won't run on stock LinuxICE2 unless you upgrade it to a ubuntu 9.10 base (run sudo update-manager -d). Alternatively, if your graphics card supports compiz, you can get the app switcher effect with a mod to icepanel's skin. I may be able to create a transitional package that does all this for you. Or at least document how to do it. I'll think of the best approach and work on it over the weekend.- I've seen videos of the driven app switcher and nGhost 3. Are either or both of those available, and how would I go about installing them?
