My touchscreen has always had issues (Lilliput). I'm on my 3rd one now, I think.
I have a wireless keyboard. With RoadRunner, I just edited the config to provide keyboard shortcuts for everything. How can I do this with LinuxICE? For example, I want to press M and have it take me to my music library. I want to press G and get to the GPS page(Navit). I'd like to be able to press A to enter an address in the GPS or something similar.
I just installed LinuxICE and like the simplicity. I'm still trying to get everything set up which can be a pain. I'll make a post with fixes I've had to do for others to find.
xbindkey worked great for me for keyboard shortcuts. although you may want to re-think this a little bit. i'm not sure you can control navit with keyboard shortcuts (might have to get a different gps app). as for pressing a key and opening the music library, is there really a need for this?
Well, there's a need because my touchscreen doesn't work properly. I think the heat where I live keeps melting the glue on the overlay I'll try xbindkey. Thanks.
