Indeed, the tarball is working. Just one other comment, that will ease packaging : could you rename the file to nghost-1.0.tar.gz, which extracts to nghost-1.0?

installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBXML_CFLAGS
and LIBXML_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

i can't find a libxml++ 2.6 (im running OpenSuse 10.3). Any tip?
