Did you check if j8 is outputting anything? You can try out j9 in case something's wrong with j8.
thanks for the follow up. i used the computer's ps, not the M2.just to make sure i didn't do any damage to the computer itself,
I did check the output of the J8 and didn't get any output as well as plugged into the j9 and check it with the multimeter too and didn't get any power out of any of the pins. Should there be a constant flow into any of the pins ?
but what is the amperage? that's what causes components to heat up.
I honesty don't remember if it should be a constant signal or a pulse. Maybe you can hook some LED up to it.
I just noticed you said:
Are you getting 12V anywhere?Quote:

I've got +12v going into the M2 and i check at the fuse as well and there's 12v there..other than that..no no where else.
i think i may set up a bench test for the m2-atx. since i'll be working the next few days..i can't NOT work on it..its definitely boggling my mind why it won't work. Will keep you folks posted when i get it tested
YEAH!!! i benched test my m2 and after rewiring everything..it works!!!!!!!!!! at least now i know my m2 is not bad, tested the time delay jumpers and all is well yippeee!! now just gotta install it in my car...
Thanks everyone for your help thus far! wish me luck getting it in the car

I'm so frustrated i have no idea what to do. so......
I've decided to take pics of what i got and see if you guys can tell me what i'm doing wrong..keep in mind i'm not technically minded and this is my first attempt and I AM A GIRL, please don't rip me to hard..I'd like not to blow up my car considering its only 4 months old and i'm only a few thousand shy of paying it off
